LEISURE CENTRE CLOSURES
Following the Government announcement yesterday about the new measures being put in place to manage the Coronavirus outbreak, the Council has taken the difficult decision to close all leisure facilities from Wednesday 18 March 2020 until further notice. We will continue to closely monitor and act on the latest Government advice.

The fantastic Witton Park Arena, located in the beautiful woodlands of Witton Country Park, has a 45 station Fitness Suite with views across the park, changing rooms and a fitness studio for spinning and exercise classes.
The state of the art arena also includes an indoor 60m warm up/training track (6 lane), changing facilities, a covered outdoor spectator terracing and a club room.
The facility is widely used, forming the central focus for a number of local school groups and athletics clubs. The associated outdoor facilities are home to regional track and field events as well as organised cross country running.
Changing Room and Locker Information
Witton Park Arenas provides separate changing facilities for males and females. There are changing rooms on the ground floor for those using the Outdoor Track and separate changing rooms for those using the gym or attending fitness class.
All lockers in the centre operate by using £1 coins which are returnable. Keys for the lockers are on a wrist band which you can take with you when using the faciltities. Re-usable locker tokens can be purchased at reception for £1 each.
Witton Park Arena has designated disabled parking bays, with easy access to the building through automatic doors.
There is a lift to all levels and a large private disabled changing room with shower and toilet facilities.
The outdoor arena has ramp access making all areas easily accessible.
The main Witton Park car park and the astroturf car park are pay and display. The costs are 60p for 2 hours and £1.80 all day. These charges are enforceable 8am – 9pm Monday to Sunday (including bank holidays).
Regular park users have the option to purchase an annual pass at £50 or a six month pass at £30. Application forms are available at the Pavilion café, Witton Park Arena or online at www.blackburn.gov.uk. Regency Fitness members can claim a FREE permit which will include their registration number. Application forms will be available at Witton Park Arena or to download here. Alternatively members can choose to pay and display 60p and claim a refund from WPA reception.
