Casual Lifeguard (Currently Unavailable)

Casual, £11.18 per hour

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Councils, Commercial services, Leisure section are looking to recruit casual Lifeguards to help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the public within our leisure centres, and provide supervision of the pool.

Duties include the supervision of swimming pools and supervision of public areas throughout the centre. You will be responsible for cleaning and general housekeeping of the centre and you will also be required to prepare and store equipment safely.

This post is on a casual basis i.e. as and when required; applicants will be expected to cover afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Applicants must hold a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Casual Swimming Instructor

Casual, £12.02 per hour

We are looking for a qualified, lively, enthusiastic and reliable individual to work as part of a growing team of instructors to deliver our learn to swim (LTS) programme across the borough. Your duties will include assisting in swimming instruction to children and adults in line with the Borough’s Swimming Development Plan. You will have previous experience of swimming teaching, demonstrating your ability to progress swimmers through the LTS pathway and hold a current ASA Level 1 Certificate for Teaching Aquatics (or equivalent) and a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Level 2
